There will be a Parent Discussion with our Lay Leaders on Sunday, October 14th, 9:30am-10:30am in Smith Auditorium.
We would like to continue to build on the momentum we enjoyed at our Family Ed events and at the High Holy Days.
Please join other parents to discuss what the community can do to make this year our best possible year.
The Youth Education Committee (BJE) would like to provide the opportunity for parents to meet each other.
Coffee and bagels will be provided.
We don’t just want you to volunteer; we also need your feedback.

Please join us on Sunday, October 21st for an Israel discussion led by a visiting expert from Melitz in Room 202.
We will be discussing Israeli democracy and current events in the Middle East.
Coffee will be provided. Please bring your own falafel (or bagels).

Next Thursday, 10/18, 4:30pm-6:30pm, Room 310/311 – Israel for Teens
A Teen Discussion about Israel will be held next Thursday, October 18th.
Teens – 7th to 12th Graders are invited to come ask questions about current events in the Middle East and learn about Israeli democracy.
Teens – You may use attendance at this discussion to make up for your absences from other classes. Get credit for attending this discussion by attending and signing in with Rabbi Lippe.
Parents of Teens – You are also invited – especially if this discussion might help with your child’s homework, independent study, or school projects.
ATT is, of course, invited.

Have you signed up in your student’s classroom to bring snack yet? The students really count on snack during class to get them through the morning. If most families sign up once or twice, we can sail through the year. Our children will really thank you.

GFC is hosting a Jewish retreat weekend for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders on November 9, 10, 11th.
Whether your student already loves camp or wishes to try camp for the first time…we know students really love the GFC retreat weekends.
Please let us know if you sign up.

Free Tae Kwon Do classes in Smith Auditorium every Tuesday and Thursday, 6:10pm-7pm. CBI member Brian Turner will be teaching our new classes. For More Information: please email Brian at bt@downtownmediation.com.
