Hello, 1st Grade Parents!
Welcome back! I hope everybody had a great summer!
This is Jessica Jordan, your child's 1st Grade Sunday School teacher!
This year looks very exciting for the 1st grade and I am happy to be a part of it!
If my name sounds familiar, it is because I taught some of your kids last year in kindergarten. I really loved meeting all of you and learning with you last year, and I'm excited to see some new and some familiar faces on Sunday!
We have a bunch going on! We will play some games to get to know each other better. We will also take some fun pictures for our classroom walls. We will work together to make our own classroom rules. These rules will become our "Classroom Covenant."
On our first day, Sisterhood will provide snack.
Then, we will need parent volunteers to bring snack.
There will be a snack sign up sheet in our classroom on the first and second days of class.
Also, first grade is the year for Consecration, so Cantor Reinwald will be visiting us to prepare us for that special day.
For 1st session, the Cantor will be in our classroom from 10:35-11am.
For 2nd session, 12-12:25pm.
Consecration will be Saturday, October 27, 2007.
Rabbi Lippe has asked first grade parents to walk students to and from our classroom – at least for the first semester.
If you have any questions, you can e-mail me at this address or at jjordan@bethisrael.org. My office is on the second floor in the Education Office. Take care for now and I'll see you Sunday!
Sincerely, Jessica
