Shalom, Parents!
Wow! We have a busy two weeks ahead!
Your children have been so much fun to teach. I look forward to seeing them every Sunday! In class, we have been learning about the Torah and studying the story of Creation. The students created their own pictures for each day of Creation in a fun art project.
The students also learned the Hebrew names of each item on the Torah scrolls in the Sanctuary and how to dress it. These next two weeks we will continue preparing for learning about the books of the Torah.
Consecration Info from the Clergy Suite:
1. The Cantor has been helping us practice our songs the last two weeks and we sound great! I have to brag a little... We are singing the "Shema", "Tree of Life", and "Torah, Torah."
2. On the day of Consecration, Saturday, October 27th, please have your child ready for pictures at 9am in the Sanctuary.
3. Students should wear dark bottoms and a white top. Or: Girls can wear nice dresses too.
4. The Sisterhood/Consecration brunch will immediately follow after services at 10:30am.
5. Thanks to Allison Caplovitz for collecting parent checks.
Thank you for everything!
Sincerely, Jessica
