Shalom, First Grade Sunday School Parents!
Can you believe we are more than half way through our 1st semester? Time flies when we are having fun!
"Mazel Tov" again to all our newly-consecrated 1st graders. The service was great and your children could not have looked or sounded cuter!
In class, we continue to study the books of the Torah. We have learned a lot about Moses and the Ten Commandments. We have also become very familiar with the Siddurim (prayerbooks). The students are reading from them during our Sunday School Tefillah (prayer services)! The next couple classes, we will be learning about Hannukah and Jewish Story Telling.
This Sunday, November 11th, there is NO SUNDAY SCHOOL. We will be back in class November 18th, but, unfortunately, I will be absent that day. That means I won't see you again until December. =(
(But never fear! There will be an excellent substitute that day.)
Thanks to all the parents on doing such an excellent job with snack! We have had some very yummy, healthy snacks this year. Keep up the good work! For November 18th, David Hamilton's parents will provide snack for 1st session and Acadia Baum's parents are in charge of snack for 2nd session. Thank you!
Have a wonderful two weeks!
Sincerely, Jessica
